Fliq for Mac FAQ Solution Q: What is Fliq for Mac?  A: Fliq for Mac lets you share contacts, photos and notes from your computer to other Fliq users on the same WiFi network.  This includes mobile devices such as iPhone or iPod Touch that have the Fliq or Fliq Notes app installed.      Q: How do I Fliq?  A: Click the name of the person you want to Fliq to, select what you want to Fliq (My Card, Contact, Photo or Note), select the specific info you wish to send and click Fliq.  You can also drag and drop a vCard, Photo or Note in Fliq to the name of the person you want to send to.  Click and hold the item you want to send, highlight the name of the user in Fliq and release the mouse button to send.    Q: Why isn't there anyone to Fliq to?  A: The available list will update when other Fliq users that are connected to the same WiFi network have a version of Fliq running on their handheld device or computer.    Q: How do I send a contact without sending personal info?  A: Tap Work Info on the bottom of the screen before you Fliq.  You have the option to send All Info, Work Info or Home Info.      Q: How do I save or modify my Card?  A: The first time you click My Card you will see your contacts list.  Select your name from the list.  This contact will display next time you click my card.  To change this click the Fliq menu, select Preferences, click Change My Card to select a different contact and click Make This My Card.  Use the Address Book application to modify the contents of your card.      Q: Why are some options grayed out (unavailable to select) on the "What do you want to Fliq" screen?    A: There are 2 separate Fliq apps for iPhone and iPod Touch.  Fliq allows you to share contacts and photos.  Fliq Notes is designed to manage and share notes.  For example, the Note icon will not be available if you select a mobile user that is running Fliq.  If Fliq Notes is running on their device the My Card, Contact and Photo icons will be grayed out.    Q: Is there a way to sync notes to my Mac?  A: Fliq for Mac allows you to Fliq notes back and forth between your computer and mobile device, but does not actually sync them at this time.      Q: Why are contacts, photos or notes duplicated?  A: The Fliq application follows your command to Discard or Save data that is sent.  It does not have a duplicate checker or merge feature.    Q: Should all photos on my Mac display in the Fliq preview screen?  A: Yes, all photos should display when you click the Photo icon so that you can select and Fliq.  If files are missing you should exit Fliq, exit iPhoto and reopen the applications to refresh the list.  You can also drag and drop photos directly from iPhoto.    If you have questions or comments please visit the Fliq Forum.  Article Details Article ID: 319 Created On: 20 Nov 2008 09:21 PM  This answer was helpful  This answer was not helpful
